What RevRover does

RevRover scans public information about a website (its DNS, public pages and public product feeds) and writes a report about things that can hurt how customers see the brand. The scan and the weekly report are free. Features marked "coming soon" or on a waitlist, including the Shopify app and RevRover Pro, aren't promised on any date.

Using it fairly

We can limit or stop access for anyone who breaks these rules.

• Use RevRover only for lawful purposes, and scan sites you run, work for or have a legitimate reason to check.
• Don't try to get around our limits, overload a site through RevRover, or automate scans in bulk.
• Don't use a report to harass, threaten or extort anyone.
• Don't attempt to break, probe or reverse engineer RevRover's security.

Our bot

Scans are fetched by the RevRover Brand Trust Bot, which identifies itself as RevRoverBrandTrustBot, can sign its requests so they can be verified (Web Bot Auth), only fetches public pages, follows robots.txt rules addressed to it, fetches slowly and stops if a site asks it to slow down or its bot protection turns it away. Site owners can learn more or ask to be excluded at /bot.

Findings are automated

Reports are generated automatically from public data and can be wrong or out of date. A finding such as a possible copycat store is a lead to verify, not a legal conclusion. Reports aren't legal, security or financial advice. Check before acting on them, and especially before contacting anyone about a finding.

Reports and sharing

Reports are unlisted: anyone with a report's link can see it. Share links with care. You may share your own reports freely.

Recommendations and affiliate links

A report may suggest tools or services that help fix a finding. Some of those links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them. They're always labelled. A commission never changes a finding or its severity.

Launch Supply services

If you ask Launch Supply to fix something, any paid work is agreed separately with Launch Supply before it starts. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

No warranty

RevRover is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will find every issue or run without interruption.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ellym LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from RevRover, and our total liability for any claim about this free service is limited to US$100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

Changes and ending

We may change RevRover or these terms. When the terms change we'll update this page and its date. You can stop using RevRover at any time, unsubscribe from the weekly report with one click, or ask us to delete your data.
