RevRover vs Semrush Site Audit

Semrush Site Audit is part of the Semrush SEO platform. Since July 2025 it has an "AI Search" category that flags a missing llms.txt and AI bots blocked in robots.txt, alongside its technical SEO checks.

Last checked Semrush official site: semrush.com

What Semrush is great at

  • Technical SEO auditing as part of a full SEO platform
  • An AI Search category: missing llms.txt, AI bot blocking in robots.txt, anchor text and internal links
  • A separate AI Visibility Toolkit that tracks brand mentions in AI answers

Who it's for

SEO specialists and teams who already work in Semrush and want technical audits next to keyword and visibility data.

Where RevRover differs

  • RevRover covers brand trust beyond SEO: email spoofing protection, security headers and (coming soon) lookalike domains.
  • RevRover reads your public product feed for test and $0 products, sold-out products and products with no images.
  • RevRover is a free scan written for marketers and store owners, with no account. Semrush is professional SEO software.
  • Semrush already checks llms.txt and AI crawler access; in RevRover those checks are still coming soon.

Check by check

RevRover's column shows what every scan checks today, and what's coming soon. For Semrush, "Not listed" means the official pages we read didn't mention it, not that it's missing. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
