About the RevRover bot

If you saw RevRoverBrandTrustBot in your logs, someone (often the site's owner) asked RevRover to run a brand trust scan of your site. Here's exactly what it does.

Who runs it

RevRover is built and operated by Launch Supply. The bot only visits a site when someone starts a scan for it.

How to recognize it

Every request it makes sends this user agent:

RevRoverBrandTrustBot/1.0 (+https://revrover.com/bot)

What it fetches

• Your homepage and a small number of other public pages.
• /products.json on Shopify stores, to check the public product catalog.
• DNS records for your domain (for example SPF, DKIM and DMARC), looked up through Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS. These lookups don't touch your servers.

It doesn't log in, submit forms, add items to carts or run checkout.

How fast

• One request at a time, spaced about 400 ms apart (roughly 2 to 3 requests per second at most).
• No more than 40 page requests per check, and only a few checks per scan.
• If your site answers with 429 Too Many Requests, the bot stops fetching from your site for the rest of that scan.

Opting out

Email hi@launchsupply.com with your domain and we'll exclude it from future scans.

Support for robots.txt is coming. It isn't live yet, so for now please email us. Once it ships, this will block the bot:
